KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Randy Reed, owner of Randy Reed Automotive, will seek a permanent injunction exempting him from providing employees with insurance coverage for the morning after pill, the Kansas City Business Journal reported. The announcement follows Monday's Supreme Court ruling in favor of Hobby Lobby.

The Supreme Court ruled that the government, under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), can't force privately-held companies like Reed's to offer health insurance plans with contraception and abortion coverage if it violates their religious beliefs.

In December, Reed was granted a preliminary injunction that temporarily exempted him from the requirement. The dealer filed a lawsuit opposing the ACA’s birth control mandate due to his Christian beliefs.
