KIRKLAND, Wash. — A man who was fired from an O’Brien Auto Group dealership in August has filed two lawsuits against the group, claiming he was terminated for making a complaint about racist remarks from the general manager. He also said he was deprived of pay over the course of his contract, seattlepi.com reports.
Ruhul Kayshel, who is East Indian, said he complained to the general manager on Aug. 27 about the racial slurs used toward him and requested to be transferred. He was fired by text message later than day. His second lawsuit alleges that the O'Brien Auto Group failed to pay him according to his employment contract, resulting in up to $300,000 in lost wages.
