The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADP) today announced the successful completion of client certification for its ADP Drive 1.0 Dealer Management System after an extensive field test process. ADP Drive, which first debuted at NADA 2009 in New Orleans, is built to help dealerships of all sizes create additional revenue, reduce expenses, and protect dealer profits. ADP Drives new single portal environment represents a leap forward in dealership technology and delivers new levels of simplicity and ease-of-use in all areas of the dealership. Client feedback during certification has been overwhelmingly positive.
ADP Drive has helped Honda North in up-state Pennsylvania, achieve greater profit margins through improved decision making, even in a tight economy. “We used to look at the numbers on the 15th and see where we were,” says Howard Neff. “Why not look at it on the first? Why not look at it on the third? Then we’re able to make those changes and angle toward that gross profit, which is what we all need. To be able to see the information, react to it, and know it’s correct is very important.”
Key ADP Drive 1.0 features and benefits include:
* Control and reduction of dealership spend with easy-to-use tools like Trend Analysis to help analyze departmental expenses.
* New features designed to simplify the procurement work flow, and plug profit leaks by integrating POs across Parts, Service, and Sales/F&I.
* Improve operations with robust reporting with Enhanced Report Generator and exception-based alerts.
ADP Drive is delivered in a flexible approach that is tailored to the needs of individual dealership group needs. Additionally, ADP has a complimentary process called the ADP Total Dealer Spend Analysis? to assist dealers in looking at all areas of the dealership expenses.
John Palmiero and Howard Neff at Honda North asked ADP to help with an ADP Total Dealership Spend Analysis. “One of the first things that jumped out at us, was how much money we spent with various vendors. They were all over the financial statement,” says Neff. “ADP has allowed us to be leaner on personnel and expenses. We work very well with ten people, but without ADP, it might take 15 of us.”
“Now more than ever, dealers need a better way to monitor and control operating expenses, maximize the productivity of their staff, and find new revenue streams,” said Steve Anenen, President of ADP Dealer Services. “When you combine the various package options of ADP Drive with our ADP Total Dealer Spend Analysis and our single provider capabilities, dealerships now have the ability to reduce DMS spend and the redundant spend associated with managing multiple vendors.”
ADP Drive can be delivered in a hosted ASP environment as well as on-site, and when hosted, is located in an ADP-owned and operated, secure data center which services over 4,500 dealership locations.
