Gainesville, GA – Black Book, best known in the Automotive Industry for publishing timely, independent, and accurate used vehicle values, is pleased to announce that Dealer Specialties, the nation’s leading provider of vehicle data collection, image generation, window labeling services, and inventory management solutions, has incorporated Black Book’s vehicle valuations and descriptions as an integral part of their dealership management software.

Glen Garvin, General Manager of Dealer Specialties, commented: “Dealerships across the country rely on Dealer Specialties to help manage and market their online vehicle inventory.  With the enhanced features of our recently released Inventory Manager 2.5 dealers have more tools in their arsenal providing them with detailed data to make educated inventory decisions.  Black Book’s used vehicle descriptions and pricing information is a valued added enhancement to this data and a natural fit with our used vehicle valuations. Inventory Manager 2.5 is intended to further simplify the vehicle management process so a dealer knows what he/she has on hand at all times.  Concurrently, Dealer Specialties provides dealers with the inventory intelligence to help recommend when and how to sell underperforming units.”

Tom Cross, President of Black Book, added: “Inventory management has become increasingly important during the past year.  The used vehicle market has become much more competitive due to the franchised dealer’s increased focus on used vehicle operations as a result of the steep decline in new vehicle sales.  The most vital requirement of any inventory management system is having timely, independent, and accurate values - in this highly competitive environment, dealers just can’t risk using old pricing data that might be off by several hundred dollars or possibly even more.  We’ve been providing the automotive and financial industries with timely, independent, and accurate market data for more than fifty years, and now publish our information daily to further ensure our time-tested accuracy.  We welcome this opportunity with Dealer Specialties to further serve our industry.”
