Platinum | Gold | |
Gold | 4th |
Dissatisfaction among the dealers was most evident in this category, where there was almost a 20% drop in scores. It seemed that no new vehicle Internet lead provider was exempt from the dealers’ wrath, with only one category group having a lower group average. However, when the dust settled from the heavy voting, a new category leader emerged as cars.com claimed the Diamond Award.
“Cars.com has always taken the high road when it comes to lead generation – playing by transparent rules that ensure the highest possible quality for our dealers,” said Alex Vetter, senior vice president of sales for cars.com.
The Platinum Award winner, AutoTrader.com, is the only award winner to receive an award in this category all four years. Autobytel moved up in the rankings this year to earn the Gold Award, while CarsDirect also finished at about the category average to be named 4th.
