The used vehicle Internet lead providers faired only slightly better than the new with an approximate 15% drop in scores from last year. This category also had one of the smallest margins between the group average and the winning score, with barely 3.3 points separating the two. The fight for the Diamond Award came down to one-tenth of a point (89.1) with GetAuto (a site of Dealer Specialties, a division of Dominion Enterprises) edging out the competition.
The Platinum Award was picked up by cars.com (89.0). This marks their second appearance in this category as a Platinum Award winner. Their first was in 2005, and they secured Gold in 2006. The Gold Award for this year was claimed by eBay Motors, with AutoTrader.com following closely in 4th place.
