TORRANCE, Calif. — The publishers of Auto Dealer Monthly have announced that the magazine’s annual Dealers' Choice Awards have been moved from the April issue to the August issue. The move was designed to expand this year’s voting season and honor the winners at September’s Industry Summit.

Voting for the 2014 Dealers' Choice Awards will open next Tuesday, April 1, and close at midnight on Friday, May 30. Any company that serves the automotive retail industry is eligible, and hundreds of U.S. dealers participate in the voting. The 2013 program included 66 Gold, Platinum and Diamond winners in 27 categories; organizers said this year’s program will include several new categories.

Industry Summit 2014 will be held Sept. 8-10 at Paris Las Vegas. The annual dealer event includes F&I, Special Finance, Dealership Sales & Technology and P&A Leadership educational tracks and is attended by dealer principals, executives, sales and F&I managers and more.

“For many years, the companies that drive our industry have been rewarded in print and online,” said David Gesualdo, Industry Summit show chair and publisher of Auto Dealer Monthly. “Moving the program to coincide with our dealer event will ensure that they are recognized at the show as well.”
