NASHVILLE, TN – Today, Dealerskins a division of Dominion Enterprises and a leading provider of automotive dealer web solutions, announced the release of CarScout, a sophisticated automated-response system that notifies customers when requested inventory becomes available. CarScout allows dealers to unobtrusively market to their customers with content that specifically targets individual buyers’ needs and helps dealers turn more inventory and generate higher profits.

The tool is very simple to use.  If a customer is viewing inventory on a dealer’s site and doesn’t find the car that fits their needs, CarScout appears boldly on the website with the message, “Not What You are Looking For? Simply fill out the form below to receive email notification when your desired vehicle is in stock. CarScout will automatically notify you as soon as your requested vehicle is available. Inventory changes daily, so let us know exactly what you are looking for. Get exactly what you want as soon as it’s in stock and let CarScout do the work!”

The form includes Name, Contact Information, Make, Model, Year Range, Price Range and Additional Comments (colors, options, etc.)

It also asks if the customer would like to be notified if similar vehicles become available. CarScout recognizes that if a customer is interested in a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5 with15,000 miles priced around $20,000, they may also be interested in the 2005 Honda Civic EX with 12,000 miles priced at $19,900 that was just added to inventory from a trade-in. Offering alternatives gives dealers a chance to move stock more quickly.

Immediately after the form is submitted, CarScout scans current inventory to locate any vehicles that match or are similar to visitors' requests. If no match is found, the request will not be forgotten. As inventory turns, CarScout remembers the criteria and automatically sends a personalized email with vehicle information and photos that correspond to the customer's original specifications.  A live salesperson is not required, content is relevant and the customer can opt out at any time.

CarScout will instantly notify customers of new inventory that matches their interests. For dealers, it means no matter where they are or what they're doing, leads are automatically generated, managed, serviced and tracked.

“This is something dealers have been asking for. This advanced technology will drive sales and shorten sales cycles. CarScout always follows up with customers rather than waiting for them to return,” said Aimee Romero, Dealerskins marketing analyst.
