AutoCount® enhances dealers’ and lenders’ ability to better target their marketing efforts

SCHAUMBURG, IL — Experian Automotive, a division of global information services company Experian, today announced it has expanded the capabilities of its AutoCount® market reporting services. AutoCount now helps dealers and lenders market more effectively through detailed reporting on specified geographies as soon as the information is available and in the format most useful to them.

AutoCount market reporting goes far beyond vehicle registration data traditionally supplied by OEMs by providing in-depth reports of new and used vehicle sales on all vehicle makes and models. For the first time, AutoCount dealer and lender report users can design and receive market reports based on what is most important to them and their businesses. Users can break down reporting geography by individual ZIP CodeTM or a set radius around one specific ZIP Code. They also can determine exactly how they’d prefer to receive their reports — either directly at www.autocount.com, via hard-copy mailing or through an automatically scheduled e-mail delivered directly to their in box.

“AutoCount reports are comprehensive, thorough and very easy to understand,” said John Harris, president of Fresno Infiniti. “The reports can be delivered quickly via e-mail after a simple phone call. AutoCount is a great product and a great service at a reasonable price.”

Based on input from dealer clients, the AutoCount ReportSM features a new Dealer Executive Summary that provides a graphically formatted, at-a-glance view of the market to help busy dealers make more sense of data that often can be too detailed to comprehend or too time-consuming to sort through. The Dealer Executive Summary includes key information dealers need to make decisions about their new and used inventories:

  • Top-selling new and used cars and trucks by the dealer’s selected market

  • Top-selling dealers in a selected market, for the dealer’s make and competing makes

  • Top noncaptive new and used lenders in the dealer’s selected market

  • Top five new and used vehicle searches on Experian’s AutoCheck.com in the dealer’s selected market

“AutoCount puts the power of the report in the hands of dealers and lenders by helping them turn information into the market insight they need to make their best business decisions,” said Scott Waldron, president of Experian Automotive. “Using the automated intelligence that AutoCount provides, dealers and lenders can increase their competitive edge by quickly and effectively adjusting sales, advertising and marketing initiatives based on timely, relevant information specific to their market and needs.”

The AutoCount online reporting capabilities also have been enhanced to create the best possible experience for users. This includes expanding the reporting range to include national queries, the addition of a Web library where all of a user’s AutoCount reports can be stored for future use, and automated report scheduling that allows users to receive reports automatically as new data is available.

Experian Automotive’s AutoCount market reporting helps dealers and lenders quickly make effective decisions about expansion, retention, competition and brand positioning with the fastest data availability in the industry — data is available within two weeks after the close of the month.
