LAS VEGAS, NV - Mobile Productivity, Inc., (MPi) a premier supplier of proprietary diagnostic, repair information and service merchandising solutions to the automotive industry, today announced the addition of several new features to its customized Automotive Repair Guidance Information System, (ARGIS™), that enable technicians to perform a better inspection and service vehicles more efficiently. Dealers using the system have seen monthly increases in upsell as high as $119,586.
The new features include an upgraded technician’s browser that enables navigation of OEM web sites. It automatically recognizes a vehicle’s VIN, preloads OEM specific web pages and allows documents to be saved. As well, a new status column alerts a technician when recommendations have been upsold by the service advisor, enabling the work to be done without interruption. OEM specific inspections, including GM’s Multipoint and Ford’s 99P inspections have also been loaded into the system so they can be performed digitally; enabling superior flexibility and implementation.
Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, VA, winner of the USA Today Dealer Innovation Award for 2006, has been using ARGIS since July 2005. On average the dealership writes 1,300 ROs per month. Fixed Operations Director Rob Van Doren comments: “ARGIS has greatly improved our technician efficiency. We purchased several Toughbooks® so now the techs don’t have to leave their stations to diagnose and fix problems. It has improved our hours per RO by about 5/10ths of an hour. ARGIS ensures a universal consistent inspection process for every vehicle that follows a strategy based diagnostic procedure which GM requires. As a result, we get a more accurate diagnosis on the repair side, which certainly keeps our customers happy. It also prints a great “Know Your Vehicle Report™” that the customers love; it helps build credibility and upsell service.” ARGIS enables service departments to increase efficiency and profits by streamlining vehicle diagnostics using a customized repair information system. The system easily walks a technician and service advisor through the diagnosis using OEM data, all supportive wiring diagrams and service information. ARGIS also provides service departments the ability to effectively increase customer pay sales using a customized inspection process, Know Your Vehicle™. These detailed inspection processes are proven to deliver a significant return on investment giving service departments the ability to maximize all the revenue that’s available to them. According to Les Silver, MPi President and CEO, industry statistics estimate that consumer neglect of vehicle care has resulted in an unrealized potential of automotive service and parts sales of approximately of $60 billion per year; “At MPi we work closely with our dealers to develop and bring to market the most innovative and technologically advanced profit making solutions. Our superior vehicle inspection process increases service department efficiencies, enhances credibility, builds customer loyalty and helps capture a share of this potential revenue. As a result, ARGIS certified service centers are seeing superior vehicle inspection penetration rates and realizing benefits that average $100 to $125 in additional customer gross pay profits per inspection.” About Mobile Productivity, Inc: Headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, Mobile Productivity Inc. is a premier supplier of proprietary diagnostic, repair information and service merchandising solutions to the automotive industry.
