Saint Petersburg, FL - Payless Car Sales, Inc. announced today the recent openings of three new franchised dealerships in their home State of Florida. The new Payless stores are located in cities spread across the State:  Clearwater, in the Greater Tampa Bay area; Hollywood, located in the southeastern “Gold Coast” region, and Panama City, in the northwestern Panhandle. This brings the total number of Payless Car Sales Florida franchisees to an even dozen, more than in any other state.

“Payless has had a presence in Florida since 1982 when the originator of the brand moved the headquarters of its sister company, Payless Car Rental, from Spokane, WA to St. Petersburg, FL,” said Mike Harley, president and COO, of Payless Car Sales, Inc. “I guess it’s only natural for a brand to develop quickly around it’s base of operations before branching out into other areas of the country,” Harley added. “We’ve certainly done well in Florida and there is still lot’s of room for further growth here”.

Other Florida Payless Car Sales dealerships can be found in: Hialeah (2), Miami (5), Miramar, Plantation Orlando, Tampa, and West Palm Beach. Payless is actively seeking qualified independent used car dealers to join their franchise system and represent the Payless brand in: Bradenton, Daytona Beach, Ft. Myers, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Naples, New Port Richey, Melbourne, Ocala, Pensacola, Sarasota, Tallahassee, and beyond.

The Payless Car Sales Franchise System is designed to help qualified independent used car dealers sell more cars. Though affiliation with its nationally recognized and trusted brand, Payless provides “preferred vendor” relationships with floor plan providers, retail lenders, F&I product and other industry suppliers; unique access to off rental inventories; on-going consulting from a professional staff and a strongly optimized, highly visible and nationwide lead generating website.

Payless Car Sales, Inc. was initially formulated to provide a sales platform for disposing of rental vehicles for its sister company Payless Car Rental. It became a separate entity in February 2002 and has now grown to over 50 locations in 16 states and Puerto Rico.

Today, value conscience consumers look to Payless for quality pre-owned vehicles at discounted prices. With continued expansion across the U.S., Payless Car Sales is well on its way to becoming “America’s Used Car Company”.
