Porsche outperformed every other major manufacturer in J.D. Power’s most recent ranking of OEM websites.

COSTA MESA, Calif. — The Summer 2017 edition of J.D. Power’s semiannual rankings of automobile manufacturer websites finds that overall satisfaction averages 827 (on a 1,000-point scale) for smartphone users, a “significantly higher” score than the average score of 814 for desktop users.

The satisfaction gap between mobile and PC shoppers increased in three key metrics: information and content (822 for smartphones vs. 804 for desktops), appearance (850 vs. 832) and speed (817 vs. 808).

“It is noteworthy, however, that the ranking of manufacturers’ websites varies considerably between smartphone and desktop shoppers," J.D. Power analysts wrote. "This variation reflects the challenges manufacturers face as they work to deliver world-class shopping experiences across a variety of devices.”

Porsche led all OEMs with an average score of 856, followed by Fiat (852) and Land Rover (849). The lowest scores belong to Nissan (784), Volvo (789) and Honda (792).
