PHOENIX —Legislation that would have allowed Tesla Motors to sell cars directly to consumers in the state won’t be voted on during Arizona’s current legislative session, which ends this week. Tesla officials said the legislation would not affect the automaker’s decision on whether to build a factory in the state, Fox Business reports. 

The bill, which would have altered a franchise law prohibiting direct-to-consumer car sales, was approved by a senate committee last month.
