Time-Off Management Tool for Dealerships
SelfServiceHR.com, a provider of SaaS-based dealership business process management software and fixed operations consulting services for U.S. auto dealers, today announced it is releasing its latest Time-Off Management point-solution, effective October 15, 2009.
This new automation tool will facilitate an electronic vacation/time off request process in dealerships that will help dealers address and reduce overpayment of accrued vacation/time-off at termination and visually track time off requests for easier shift management, particularly in fixed operations, where over 81% of profits in this difficult economic environment is generated.
"Dealerships are making unwarranted payouts at separation and spending large amounts of time, paper and effort managing vacation and time-off requests. Many medium-sized dealerships with more than 350 employees are using excel spreadsheets to manage time off accruals, manually and, likely, inaccurately. DealerTimeOff.com is designed specifically to address opaque accrued time-off/vacation liabilities related to existing time off management dealership practices," said Jim Lawrence, President of SelfServiceHR.com. "Dealers spend way too much time and pay out way too much money at separation on poorly tracked time-off and vacation requests. These dealerships are also likely experiencing an entitlement attitude among staff who feel they can take time off because no one is looking. A vacation tracking system like DealerTimeOff helps reinforce company time-off policies and avoid cash money directly paid out in this classic out-of-sight, out-of-mind approach to time-off management. Until now, little effort has been placed on internalizing more effective ways to address these issues. DealerTimeOff intends to change that. By leveraging technology and basic loss prevention practices, we have an opportunity to help dealers generate significant cost savings by better managing the direct costs of poor time-off request controls and give them the visual tools to more effectively manage departmental coverage," Mr. Lawrence concluded.
