Service Contract Provider

Familiar but different sums up this year’s winners in the Service Contract Provider category. Only one provider returned from last year, but all four companies with above-average scores have been recognized in past years.

Protective scored more than 11 points above average to land its first-ever Diamond Award in the service contract provider category. The company was awarded Gold in 2009. “We are honored to receive the Diamond level award in the vehicle service contract category. The designation is particularly gratifying as it’s voted upon by auto dealers from across the United States,” said, Rick Kurtz, vice president of dealer sales, Protective Asset Protection Division.

The Platinum Award goes to CNA National, the only company to win an award in the category every year. The company has six Diamond Awards to its name earning one every year from 2005 to 2010. “Our company was founded almost 30 years ago with the idea that the most important part of a ‘vehicle service contract’ is, in fact, the service,” said Joe Becker, president and CEO of CNA National.

After back-to-back wins in the Service Contract Provider category in ‘06 and ‘07, JM&A Group returned to the ranks in 2011 as the Gold Award winner. “JM&A Group is thrilled to receive such a prestigious honor. The fact that the award is presented based on dealer votes makes it even more coveted and special to us,” said Forrest Heathcott, president of JM&A Group. “This award will energize our associates to find even better ways to provide service to this important segment of the auto industry.”

The only other provider to score above category group average was Zurich, which captured fourth place. Last year, the company took home Gold.
