Service Contracts - Reinsurance

While the Reinsurance category is a relatively new category (introduced to the awards in 2008), it’s been around long enough for trends to emerge. For the past three years, the group average has been relatively high compared to other group averages, and two companies have proven their staying power as top providers.

In the top spot is CNA National, this year’s Diamond Award winner with a score of 112.9. This is the company’s first Diamond Award in this category, and its third consecutive award win. It took home Platinum in 2010 and Gold in 2009. “Dealers in our reinsurance programs can expect the same high level of service that we provide to all our clients,” said Alan Miller, senior vice president of sales for CNA National. “That includes a focus on compliance to ensure we and they are operating within the existing regulatory environment. In addition, they will receive regular, accurate reports that detail everything related to their reinsurance account.”

This year’s Platinum Award goes to Portfolio, the only company that’s claimed an award in the category since its inception. “We provide personal, interactive management and consulting, while building profitable F&I programs that give the dealer true ownership, real control and total confidence in our ability to create wealth for the dealer,” said Steve Burke, president and CEO.

With a strong first appearance in the Reinsurance category, Zurich scored the Gold Award for 2011. “We’re proud to be recognized as a leader in the reinsurance category. Over the past three years, Zurich has paid more than $100 million dollars in profit participation to our dealer customers,” said Tina Mallie, head of Direct Markets for Zurich North America Commercial. “We provide our customers with several reinsurance options that allow them to choose the investment strategy that matches their risk appetite.”
