SAN FRANCISCO — Recall Masters Inc., a provider of automotive recall information, services and communications, and TimeHighway.com, a provider of real-time service scheduling solution, have partnered up to enable real-time vehicle recall lookup during service appointment scheduling.

The partnership will allow dealers to purchase parts and schedule technician availability before the customer arrives for service. It also helps to eliminate the possibility of a recalled vehicle failing to be repaired during a customer’s service visit. The solution will also allow customers to plan ahead, as the solution will inform them of a recall during appointment scheduling.

“Service departments can really benefit from having real-time recall status information integrated with an online scheduling solution. Now customers can easily set appointments online and check for any open recalls at the same time,” said Karen Dillon, president of TimeHighway. “Knowing upfront when a customer’s vehicle has an open recall is also much more efficient for dealer scheduling. If they know the vehicle is coming in with a specific recall ahead of time, there is no delay in parts ordering. This helps better manage the customer’s expectations.”

Recall Masters is a provider of automotive recall news, data, training, and communications. The company is dedicated to helping automakers and their dealers expedite the repair of recalled vehicles. TimeHighway offers a solution that allows dealership customers to easily schedule and confirm appointments from the dealer’s website and on their mobile device. The solution also provides service drive management and shop loading, and can be used to manage express service.

“With the unprecedented level of vehicle recalls, reaching out to and informing customers of any that affect their vehicle can be a major pain point for most auto dealers. Not too many customers relish having to take their vehicle in for service in the first place. To then discover that their vehicle needs to stay in longer for a recall repair is not exactly great for customer relations,” said Chris Miller, president of Recall Masters. “Our relationship with TimeHighway ensures that the dealer’s customers know about any open recall in real-time while scheduling their appointment. This then helps build trusting relationships between automotive dealers and their customers.”
