LAKE FOREST, Calif. — Portfolio earned a first-place Diamond award in the Service Contract Reinsurance category in the 2021 Dealers’ Choice Awards, the company’s eighth No. 1 ranking in the category, and a second-place Platinum award in the newly added Appearance Protection Products (Chemical) category.
Portfolio has never wavered from our commitment to the principle of 100% dealer ownership, and our program is backed by products, reporting and support we would hold up against any of our worthy competitors.
Portfolio owns an unrivaled winning streak in the reinsurance rankings, having finished no lower than second place every year since Auto Dealer Today added the category in 2008.
“To win the Diamond award in six of the past eight years tells us we and our agents are doing something right,” said Portfolio President and CEO Brent Griggs. “Portfolio has never wavered from our commitment to the principle of 100% dealer ownership, and our program is backed by products, reporting and support we would hold up against any of our worthy competitors.”
The Dealers’ Choice Awards are based on an audited survey of U.S. auto dealers and dealership personnel, each of whom must write in their favorite industry partners in at least five of 41 categories and score them on quality, value, customer service and whether they would recommend them to another dealer.
Appearance Protection Products (subdivided into Chemical and Dent & Ding) was one of seven new categories to appear on the 2021 DCA survey.
“Appearance Protection absolutely deserves its own category and we are honored to be included in the charter class,” said Portfolio CSO David Neuenschwander. “Strong partnerships, products and claims management are driving sales and delivering real value to agents, dealers and car buyers.”
