Manheim named new general managers for its operating locations in Dallas, Portland and Kansas City who represent a combined 40 years of experience working closely with Manheim’s clients and teams.
“Manheim is fortunate to have such a strong roster of leaders with deep knowledge of our industry, our company and what our clients need to be successful,” said Alan Lang, division vice president at Manheim. “Their career progressions within Manheim are great examples of how our company grows and fosters strong leaders within our organization.”
Glenna Bishop is the new general manager for Manheim Dallas-Ford Worth. Her career with the company began in 2014 with Cox Media Group. Two years later, she joined Manheim as a marketing and promotions manager at Manheim Palm Beach, followed by field marketing manager for the Florida Region, where she focused on driving return on investment through event sales and strategic client partnerships. Most recently, Bishop was assistant general manager at Manheim Fort Lauderdale. While there, she helped create the South Florida Market Center, merging leadership and strategy between Manheim Fort Lauderdale and Manheim Palm Beach, and led the sales, operations and vehicle-entry departments. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Wright State University and an MBA from Ashford University.
John Duplanty was named general manager of Manehim Kansas city. A 15-year member of the Manheim team, Duplanty began his career as operations manager at Manheim Tampa, followed by general manager positions at Manheim Arizona and Manheim Tucson, where he received the 2019 President's Award for Auction of the Year. Most recently, he served as general manager of Manheim Portland. Duplanty holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and management from Arizona State University. He succeeds Victor Ferlaino, who retired from the company following a 25-year career that included general manager positions at Manheim Cincinnati, Manheim St. Louis and, most recently, Manheim Kansas City.
