Federal regulators are investigating complaints of Fisker Ocean vehicles failing to shift into the driver’s intended gear, which could cause unintended rolling.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration open the investigation after getting four complaints related to the issue.

The probe is examining 2023 Oceans to determine the scope of the issue.

No recall has been issued.

Meanwhile, Fisker said it signed four new Eastern seaboard dealer partners and that it anticipates adding more in coming weeks. It announced on Jan. 4 that it was switching from direct sales to the dealer model in order to scale for Ocean deliveries and open the way for greater production volume of future models.

The newly signed dealers represent seven stores in the Carolinas, Georgia, Maryland, New York and New Jersey.
