BUFFALO, N.Y. — ACV Auctions Inc. has won gold in the third annual Stevie Awards for Great Employers, in the automotive employer of the year category. The Stevie Awards recognizes the world’s best employers, human resources professionals, teams, achievements and HR-related products and suppliers that help create and drive great places to work.

ACV Auctions was selected because of its outstanding work culture, community involvement, benefits, open workspace, investment in technology for its employees, and special events like in-office professional massages, monthly birthday celebrations and more. Further consideration was given to ACV because of the company’s rapid growth in its industry and high sales accomplishments since 2017, all according to the announcement.

“We’re thrilled to be recognized for the great culture that our team helps make possible here at ACV,” said CEO George Chamoun. “ACV is built on a foundation of trust and transparency. We’re growing over 400 percent a year and adding 20–30 teammates a month. We all get our hands dirty. As we grow, it’s imperative to us that we continue to foster an environment of mutual respect and collaboration, where our employees know they make a difference, and that their work is appreciated. We’ve found the best way to do that is to hire happy, enthusiastic people, who want to grow with us, and it hasn’t failed us yet.”

The gold, silver and bronze winners were presented with their awards at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City Friday, Sept. 21. More than 550 nominations from organizations in 21 nations were submitted for consideration this year, and more than 60 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process.

“The judges were extremely impressed with the quality of entries we received in the third annual Stevie Award for Great Employers. The dedication the Stevie Award finalists have to making workplaces great for employees was evident in every nomination,” said Michael Gallagher, president and founder of the Stevie Awards.

For dealer-owned reinsurance entities, avoiding volatility entirely can mean falling behind inflation and missing market rebounds that drive long term surplus growth.
