STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — National Automotive Experts/NWAN was the main sponsor for the Cleveland Christian Home’s annual 5K Walk and Run for The Kids. The event raised more than $72,000, with NAE/NWAN team raising more than $59,000 alone.

Funds raised will go directly to the organization to assist in supporting its 17-plus community outreach programs, according to company officials.

“I have a sincere passion to volunteer and financially support the efforts of this organization,” said NAE/NWAN CEO Kelly Price. “It has been a true honor to watch our growth as a company directly impact the vision and mission of the Cleveland Christian Home through our continued financial support. I personally commit to matching each donation from my associates or our clients dollar for dollar, whether its $1 or $1,000.”

In addition to sponsoring the annual 5k Walk and Run for the Kids, the NAE/NWAN team supports the Cleveland Christian Home through events like Spirit Week and their Friday Jean’s Day, when associates donate $2 each Friday if they wear jeans. In addition, each year during the Holiday season, the team adopts a family by providing Christmas gifts to children in need. They also volunteer their time wrapping the gifts each Saturday and Sunday in December leading up to Christmas.

The Cleveland Christian Home specializes in helping and raising troubled boys seven to 17 years old. The organization counsels, educates and assists the boys in finding families to raise them, as well as helping them find some peace, happiness and love. The boys are very troubled and come from homes of incarcerated, deceased or unfit parents. Many of the boys go through counseling up to six times a day.
