Toyota’s U.S. captive-finance arm stretched wider with a major headquarters expansion.

The Frisco, Texas, campus of Toyota Financial Services now counts a seven-story building accommodating more than 1,000 staff that the subsidiary says is one of the largest “mass timber” offices in the country, built with Southern yellow pine lumber.

TFS offers vehicle purchase financing and leasing, plus vehicle- and payment-protection products. It also services Lexus dealers and their customers.

Staff started occupying the new building this week, and the company said it provides “much-needed” space, an 800-spot parking structure, and facilities where multiple large teams can meet. The office houses staff who support dealer and customer experience and data and technology.

“As team members occupy this building, we will be able to reconfigure our existing headquarters space to reduce overcrowding, enhance collaboration, and foster innovation to position our company for future growth,” said subsidiary President and CEO Alec Hagey.

The facility includes a gym, micro markets and furnished balconies, while a restaurant is planned.
