SAN FRANCISCO — Life Story Media announced that “Driven By Integrity: The Gaudin Family Story” received honors in the “Biography” and “Branded Content” categories in the 39th Annual Telly Awards.

The competition included films produced by AOL Studios, Bloomberg, CBS Interactive, Discovery Communications, ESPN, Ogilvy and Mather, and The History Channel. This year’s program received a record number of submissions, requiring recruitment of over 200 additional judges from companies such as Vimeo, Discovery Networks, and the National Association of Broadcasters.

“Life Story Media is pushing the boundaries for video and television innovation and creativity at a time when the industry is rapidly changing” said Sabrina Dridje, managing director of the Telly Awards. “This award is a tribute to the talent and vision of its creators.”

“The Gaudin family had a story that needed telling,” said producer/director and Life Story Media owner Julie Miller. “From wagon wheels to steering wheels, the Gaudin Motor Company is one of the oldest Ford dealerships in America. But the family’s story is about more than success in business. It’s about how the family’s success reflects its heritage, and how that heritage helped inspire a community’s future.”

“I’m thrilled that we have recorded our family’s and family business’ history for future generations. I feel that’s my responsibility,” said Gary Ackerman, Gaudin’s third-generation owner. “There was this passion that my dad and my grandfather both had for being involved in their community. I often tell our team members if you’re not involved in trying to make Las Vegas a better place to live, you’re not totally involved in the mission of our business.”

Timing the Market Can Hurt Long-Term Program Performance

For dealer-owned reinsurance entities, avoiding volatility entirely can mean falling behind inflation and missing market rebounds that drive long term surplus growth.
