Black Book Now Alerts Dealers to Pricing Changes
The expanded service will help dealers keep tabs on pricing changes related to specialty market vehicles, as well as alert them to pricing changes due to abnormal weather conditions and other unforeseen factors.
GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Black Book now offers regular monthly valuation and pricing updates for collectible, exotic and highline cars, as well as motorcycles, powersports, recreational vehicles, and medium- and heavy duty trucks.
Officials said the new offering will allow dealers to keep up with pricing changes related to vehicles in the specialty market segments. The solution also will alert dealers to unexpected pricing changes due to outside factors such as abnormal weather patterns. This will allow them to make adjustment for stocking and selling inventory, officials noted.
“Infrequent updates on prices won’t account for smaller valuation changes which, when added up, can provide a significant adverse impact to a dealer’s profit margins,” said Ricky Beggs, vice president and managing editor of Black Book. “The same way people now use technology to get news and information faster, our regular updates help industry constituents make better decisions whether they’re buying, selling or lending.”
