HARTFORD, Conn. — New Country Motor Car Group recently promoted Timothy Parker to vice president, overseeing the group’s three Harford, Conn., dealerships and five franchises including BMW, MINI, Mercedes Benz, Sprinter and Smart.

“I am honored to be chosen to lead our organization,” said Parker. “I learned a long time ago that the secret to being a good manager is surrounding oneself with the best people possible.”

Parker has been with New Country Motor Car Group since 2007. Under his direction, the dealership received the BMW “Center of Excellence” national award, given out to 32 of the 388 BMW dealers in the country. The award is given to a dealership based on its performance in customer satisfaction, brand representation and operational excellence.

New Country recently added a new standalone MINI showroom due to a growth in the group’s BMW business, according to the company.

“Taking care of our employees and providing stellar service for our customers are my top priorities, along with the sustained growth of the business,” said Parker
