ROCKAWAY, N.Y. — A customer of Five Towns Nissan who was forced to make payments on a vehicle he traded in to the dealership last summer has been reimbursed. The dealership was supposed to pay $18,000 to cover the remaining payments on the trade-in, but Superstorm Sandy left the business with huge losses, WABC-TV reports.

The attorney for Five Towns Nissan said the dealership has no more money to pay out, but is hoping to recover insurance money for cars that were lost during the storm. The dealership’s former general manager arranged to pay off the remainder of the customer’s trade after being contacted by WABC-TV.
