SAN JOSE, Calif. — The Silicon Valley Auto Dealers Association filed an appeal with the city planning department last month, opposing a proposed CarMax facility which it claims will entice car shoppers away from the Capitol Expressway Auto Mall, the Silicon Valley Business Journal reports.
The association filed the appeal on behalf of Capitol Mitsubishi, a tenant on the land CarMax is considering. CarMax must acquire a special use permit for a service center on the property, which the planning commission will be considering at a meeting today.
