URBANDALE, Iowa — Flick Fusion and WheelsTV have formed a strategic alliance designed to increase the distribution of Flick Fusion’s VIN-specific vehicle inventory videos to auto dealerships nationwide.

As part of the alliance, WheelsTV will leverage Flick Fusion’s SmartFlicks technology platform, which automatically generates VIN-specific inventory videos, to expand the virtual test-drive product offerings of its Dealer Video Showroom (DVS) platform.

SmartFlicks allows dealers to choose between an automated slideshow or to shoot a live video. Once the dealer chooses the type of video he or she wants, SmartFlicks will create overlays that display real-time incentive data like consumer rebates, APR or bonus cash. The program will generate calls to action for customers, add lifelike human voiceover audio tracks to the videos and then automatically distribute the completed inventory videos to Autotrader.com, Cars.com, YouTube and other third-party sites.

“With the addition of SmartFlicks, the Dealer Video Showroom offers a complete suite of must-have video sales tools,” said Jim Barisano, chairman and CEO of WheelsTV. “Our dealers can now implement a comprehensive video marketing strategy that stretches from initial consideration to purchase. We are extremely pleased to be working with the good folks at Flick Fusion.”

The combined product of both companies will first capture the attention of car shoppers through virtual test drives, transition them into dealers’ collection of VIN-specific inventory videos and then ultimately get them behind the wheel of a new car.

“WheelsTV’s virtual test drives have set the industry’s highest standards for a quality product that engages the consumer, builds excitement and creates an emotional response to a vehicle,” said Tim James, COO of Flick Fusion. “We are honored to be their inventory video marketing platform of choice and enthusiastic about the opportunity to help their dealership customers sell more cars.”

WheelsTV has produced more than 4,000 dealer- and consumer-friendly video test-drive reports for every make and model in the North American Market. Auto dealers using WheelsTV’s DVS now have a complete video solution to use on their vehicle details pages, search results pages, third-party sites and in lead response emails, the company states.

Live demos of the companies’ product will be available at this month's National Auto Dealer Association Convention & Expo in Las Vegas.
