(Bobit) — Sports journalist Adam Skinner of London’s The Sun newspaper has teamed up with illustrator James Gilleard for “Fast Forward: The World’s Most Famous Race Tracks and Race Cars.” The new, hardcover, coffee table-size book includes full-page illustrations and facts, figures, and stats accompanying 18 historic moments in a book the publishers are calling “a racing book of dreams.”

James Gilleard contributed a series of full-page illustrations, including this depiction of the Bahrain International.
“This lavishly illustrated book gives you the inside track on classic cars, routes, and racers,” a statement announcing the release reads, in part. “Race ‘The Green Hell’ in a Porsche 911, complete the course at Le Mans in a Ford GT40, compete in the Festival of Speed at Goodwood in a Jaguar E-type, and take on the NASCAR drivers at Daytona’s Speedway.”
“Fast Forward” is available from retailers for a listed price of $30.
