Subaru, Lexus Best Competitors in Reputation Survey

Subaru outranked its U.S. mass-market competition in the latest Automotive Reputation Report, as Lexus outscored other luxury brands in the customer survey. Both jumped to the top of their lists from the second place spots last year.
Reputation, which gathers customer feedback to help companies improve customer experience, reviewed data for about 20,000 dealerships and 33 brands.
It also ranked private and public dealership groups. Public group AutoNation and private Hendrick Automotive Group topped their lists, Hendrick for the second year in a row. AutoNation jumped from third place last year.
Reputation analyzed customer reviews and surveyed consumers about their experience shopping for cars digitally. From that pool, 85% placed a high value on reviews, and 65% said they look for a four-star rating.
