The Reynolds and Reynolds Co. acquired DealerCorp Solutions, a software company with a focus on developing high-quality cloud applications for the automotive industry in Canada.
Reynolds began a partnership with DealerCorp in August 2021 that allowed it to become a licensed reseller of DealerCorp’s premier product, deskit. Reynolds worked alongside DealerCorp to improve the product and further meet dealerships’ unique needs.
“Our partnership with DealerCorp over the past two years has proven successful,” said Scott Santana, Reynolds executive vice president of product management. “That time really allowed us to work closely with Gordon [Leach, CEO and co-founder of DealerCorp] and his team. DealerCorp’s innovation perfectly aligns with Reynolds, and both sides agreed joining forces was the next logical step to help our customers succeed.
“Reynolds is committed to investing in and growing the Canadian market, as well as delivering a start-to-finish digital retailing process for automotive retailers. Deskit’s functionality has already been integrated with Gubagoo chat and now leverages the robust Reynolds Retail Management System to connect with more partners and lenders.”
Deskit is an agnostic digital retailing application that includes elements of digital retailing, desking, F&I and inventory solutions, enabling dealers to desk a deal and present sales and F&I options on any screen, such as kiosks, tablets and personal computers. Reynolds says the product has been well-received by dealers across the country and provides online shoppers penny-accurate quotes that match online and in-store every time.
Prices determined by deskit use the same calculation engine and algorithms online and in-store, increasing customer confidence and removing the need to back into a deal in-store in order to match a quoted online sales price.
Reynolds says it's also excited about DealerCorp’s full portfolio of developed technology and software – like stockit, a solution that scans inventory invoices and automatically uploads them to deskit – as they present opportunity and inspiration for further enhancements and synergies of Reynolds products for dealers across North America.
“We’re excited to join the Reynolds family officially and continue reaching a whole new host of dealerships,” Leach said. “Our core mantra remains: Make the buying experience better by giving customers the sales process they want, and in so doing, future-proof the business.”
