BMW Aces Q3 on the Power of EVs
Its electric-model deliveries jumped 80% YOY, defying industrywide trends.

BMW said its third-quarter sales had a healthy 6% year-over-year bump in the third quarter, including a big jump in battery-electric sales, in stark contrast with other big automakers whose EV sales haven’t met expectations.
BMW said its fully electric model sales rose 80% year-over-year in the quarter to nearly 94,000 units.
The German automaker said it’s also “right on track to meet our goals for the year.”
Its overall quarterly sales came in at about 622,000.
Year-to-date, BMW said battery-electric vehicle sales nearly doubled, up 93% year-over-year to nearly 247,000 units, largely in the BMW brand. It said it expects more growth in the fourth quarter with the launch of several models.
