Honda has recalled about 2.6 million vehicles in the U.S. over a fuel pump issue that can lead to engine stalling, even while the vehicle is being driven.

The Japanese automaker says there have been no reports of crashes or injuries as a result of the issue.

The recall affects 2017 to 2020 Acura and Honda models. Honda says the fuel pump impellers were improperly molded, leading to low-density impellers that can become deformed over time and cause the pump to fail.

Since sufficient numbers of replacement parts aren’t currently available, Honda said it will notify owners in stages starting in February.
