iA American Warranty Group (iA American) announced that Eric Mélon has stepped into the role of executive vice president of sales.

With over 35 years in the automotive industry, he has trained thousands of sales and management personnel throughout the world. Having experience in his previous role as senior vice president of enterprise sales, he will continue to drive sales growth across all dealership-based distribution, including both product administration and training efforts. He will also have oversight of iA American’s agent channel and national accounts business.

“Eric’s wealth of knowledge within the automotive industry and successful experience in sales growth will give us a huge advantage in the market, and we’re excited for him to lead our Sales organization,” said Sean O’Brien, Chief Growth of Officer – US Operations for iA Financial Group. “I am eager to see the continued success of our company with the expertise he has to offer.”

Prior to joining iA American, Eric directed sales training initiatives and national dealer relations growth for First Dealer Resources. He also served as a dealer development consultant for Chicago-based Stuker & Associates, a sales training organization. While there, he was responsible for national and international accounts, training management, and sales personnel throughout the United States, Australia, Canada, and Europe. Before Stuker, he worked in automotive retail, with extensive experience in sales, sales management, and upper management.
