The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence introduced the ASE Renewal App to renew its automobile and light-truck certifications and help service professionals increase their awareness and knowledge of the technology in today's complex vehicles.

“Over 16,500 automotive service professionals are using the ASE Renewal App to keep their ASE certifications current,” said ASE president and CEO Dave Johnson. “However, they are also utilizing the renewal app as an ongoing learning resource to continue to validate their technical knowledge and stay up to date on ever-changing service and repair information and requirements.”

The app is designed to make it easy to renew ASE automobile and light truck (A-series) certifications without having to take time off work or visita secure test center for testing. Service professionals can conveniently extend their A1-A9 certifications using the web app on a PC or the mobile app on a cellphone or tablet.

“With the ASE Renewal App, automotive service professionals can answer a few questions each month and instantly see which answers are correct and why,” Johnson said. “They can also track their progress using the app’s dashboard and get a real-time look at their current progress and access to remediation.”

First-time subscribers will receive a one-year extension to all their current A1-A9 certifications designed to eliminate concern that their credentials could expire before they can earn an extension. In addition to the extension, new subscribers can earn an additional year extension during their first subscription.
