Protective Asset Protection expanded its auto, RV, power-sport and marine training program, introducing new resources designed to equip finance-and-insurance managers with skills for success in a competitive market. The enhanced program, which emphasizes the use of advanced technology and a comprehensive learning approach, aims to help dealers improve performance, ensure compliance, and gain a competitive edge.

Innovating with AI

The core of the new training initiative is AutoTrainer, an artificial-intelligence-powered platform that provides on-demand coaching and role-play opportunities. AI offers an immersive training tool enabling F&I managers to practice any part of an F&I transaction. The system provides real-time, unbiased feedback and guidance, preparing team members for any customer interaction.

The AI tool is specifically configured to deliver impactful analytics by optimizing for less noise and more signals. It identifies areas of opportunity and offers on-demand coaching to improve performance. Key benefits of AI include:

  • Instant Feedback: Designed to enhance every interaction with real-time guidance

  • Compliance Assurance: Helps ensure adherence to state-specific laws and internal procedures

  • Consistent Results: Drives uniformity across all F&I processes for improved performance

Comprehensive Learning With the Protective Training Institute

AI is featured during the virtual and in-person sessions along with the Protective Training Institute,an enhanced online training experience supporting F&I managers for all lines of business served. The interactive platform provides comprehensive, self-paced product knowledge accessible round-the-clock. It offers courses on a range of products, including those for automobiles, marine, power-sports and RVs. The institute is designed to help new F&I managers and those needing a refresher gain real-world knowledge and practical skills.

Why F&I Training Is Critical

In the automotive industry, continuous learning and skill development are crucial for success. F&I is all about honing core skills, understanding the why behind what is done, and mastering the art of the "Anatomy of a Close." Training helps professionals become prepared for "no," enabling them to respond efficiently to questions and solve problems quickly. It also increases emotional intelligence, helping professionals stay calm and collected. Practice is scientifically proven to increase success by making processes more natural and fluid. By practicing skills, professionals can increase their credibility, leading to an "easier yes more often" and being better prepared to handle objections.

Securing a Competitive Advantage

The new training offerings' combination of AI-driven practice and a comprehensive online learning platform help dealers and their teams maintain a high level of professionalism and precision in every conversation. The program’s focus on personalized coaching and measurable results helps ensure every training session is more effective. By investing in continuous training and development, dealerships can improve performance, drive uniformity, and be better prepared for the evolving demands of customer interactions.

"We're excited to launch this expanded training program, which leverages cutting-edge AI technology to provide our dealership partners with the tools they need to excel," said Tim Blochowiak, vice president - sales, client wealth, financial institutions and training. "In today's fast-paced and always-changing market, a competitive edge is more critical than ever. Our new offerings, especially AI and the Protective Training Institute, empower F&I managers to not only meet but exceed their goals by providing a dynamic, flexible, and highly effective learning experience."
