ALBANY, N.Y. — Auto/Mate Dealership Systems announced today it has been named a “Best Place to Work” in New York’s Capital Region by the Albany Business Review. This is the eighth consecutive year that Auto/Mate has received the award, and the first year that Auto/Mate has placed in the category for large companies, defined as those with more than 150 employees.

“When we first won this award in 2010, Auto/Mate ranked in the mid-size companies category, as we had fewer than 50 employees. It’s gratifying to know that as we’ve grown we have not lost focus on the most important contributor to our success, which has been our employees,” said Mike Esposito, president and CEO of Auto/Mate. “The secret to success is simple: Take care of your employees. They will take care of your customers, and your customers will take care of your bottom line.”

Auto/Mate offers many perks to its employees, including an onsite gym, tuition reimbursement, casual dress environment, wellness program, employee discount programs and paid time off for volunteering. Additionally, Auto/Mate frequently hosts events designed for employee fun, including Hawaiian Day, happy hours, Bagel Thursdays and visits from cupcake and ice cream trucks.

“My advice to executives that want to grow their companies and achieve success is to communicate your vision and values, and always hire employees who are a good cultural fit,” said David Druzynski, Auto/Mate’s director of human resources. “At Auto/Mate we hire people who are other-centered, meaning they are altruistic and inherently focused on helping other people. We also prefer to hire individuals with a history of community involvement, because those traits align with our company’s core values.”

A celebratory luncheon will be held to honor all 40 “Best Places to Work” award recipients on December 8 at the Hilton Albany.
