CNA National Appoints New Chief Actuary
Karen Queen has been appointed as the chief actuary for CNA National Warranty Corp. She spent the last nine years with CNA National's parent company, where she most recently served as the assistant vice president for professional liability pricing.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — CNA National Warranty Corporation has appointed Karen Queen as its new chief actuary, the company announced last week.
“We are very happy to have Karen as part of the CNA National team,” said Joe Becker, president and CEO. “Her expertise will help us to continue providing accurate rates for our expanding product line. Having spent the last nine years with our parent company, CNA, she is an ideal candidate to be part of the executive team that is moving CNA National to the next level.”
Queen is responsible for the direction and management of CNA National’s pricing strategies and actuarial forecasts to support the company’s objectives and growth. Prior to her appointment, Queen served as the assistant vice president for professional liability pricing at CNA. Before that, she served as the company's assistant vice president for excess and surplus pricing.
Queen also served in the actuary departments for Berkley Underwriting Partners, Encompass Insurance, Safeco Insurance, and Allstate.
“I’m excited to be in Scottsdale with CNA National,” Queen said. “I look forward to the opportunities this new role will present.”
