MyDealerLot introduces revolutionary real time location system providing unprecedented tracking and visibility of retail dealership vehicle inventoryRoswell, GA – MyDealerLot introduces their new vehicle inventory and tracking solution for retail automotive dealers: the MyDealerLot Tracking & Analytics Software Suite. The real-time location system (RTLS) is the first subscription, web-based Wi-Fi vehicle tracking solution which uses radio wave technology (RFID), in conjunction with a dealership’s existing wireless network infrastructure, to provide an ‘always-on’ view of a dealership’s inventory. The results are higher inventory visibility, better marketing and customer service, lower floor plan costs and more accurate inventory forecasting and demand tracking.

MyDealerLot works by using motion sensor 802.11 compatible Wi-Fi tags affixed to a vehicle’s rear-view mirror which beacon to a web-enabled ‘dashboard’ capable of displaying the virtual location of the vehicle to within several feet. Using the system, dealership owners, general managers, and salespeople can track their vehicle locations with detailed vehicle options and 360 degree spin movies over the web.

Using MyDealerLot, salespeople can create a better customer experience by knowing exactly where a specific vehicle is on the lot with incredible accuracy. General Managers can manage sales staff by tracking test drives and other metrics. In addition, MyDealerLot helps owners reduce floor plan costs by having more timely relief of inventory and by also properly segmenting incoming vehicles vs. vehicles on the ground. In addition, the MyDealerLot RTLS complete graphical reporting engine lets dealers report and ‘drill-down’ on key performance measurements for inventory, sales, and salespeople.

“We’re very excited to be first to market with this inventory management system,” said George Cresto, Founder & President of MyDealerLot. “We specifically decided to focus on RTLS technology and Cisco location-based technologies because it allows us to accurately plot in real time the vehicle location with a simple and low cost solution.

Launched in late 2005 as a small IT consulting organization, the complete focus of MyDealerLot quickly became providing real time location inventory tracking solutions for retail automotive dealers. The MyDealerLot RTLS (Real Time Location System) is a web-based Wi-Fi vehicle tracking solution which uses radio wave technology (RFID) to provide a dealership with an ‘always-on’ inventory and vehicle locations on a graphical map of the dealership.
