St. Petersburg, FL - Payless Car Sales announced today that they are seeking one, or perhaps several, Master Area Developers for their planned expansion into the European marketplace. According to Francisco Dubrocq, Director of International Sales for Payless, a Master Area Developer is an independent contractor who has a contractual agreement to develop and support a specified number of Payless Car Sales® dealerships within a designated geographic territory. The Master Area Developer duties consist of:                 1. Recruiting new franchise dealers
               2. Assisting new franchise dealers in the area of site selection (if applicable)
               3. Assisting new franchise dealers with property negotiations
               4. Assisting new franchise dealers with the opening of the dealership
               5. Providing new franchise dealers with ongoing operational support As compensation, the Master Area Developer receives a portion of all franchise fees and one half of the royalties collected from the stores in his, or her, territory. Mike Harley, President and COO, said that “since first announcing our expansion plans in August of last year, we’ve had a surprising number of inquiries from used car dealers in Europe and other areas around the world. What we need now is a strong partner in each locale to help us move our plan forward.” Harley added, “a Master Area Developer can be in charge of a major metropolitan area, an entire country, like we have done in Canada, several countries, or possibly even the entire continent. The size of the developer’s assigned territory depends heavily on the candidate’s industry experience, business acumen and financial strength.”   Payless Car Sales was initially formulated to provide a sales platform for disposing of rental vehicles for its sister company Payless Car Rental. It became a separate entity in February 2002 and has now grown to over 50 locations in 16 states and Puerto Rico. For over 30 years the Payless name has been known in the automotive industry as a place where customers can find "old fashioned" quality service and affordable prices. At Payless we are committed to making the purchase of any of our quality pre-owned vehicles a stress free experience by doing everything possible to "make a good deal . . . better"™ for every customer we have the privilege to serve. Payless Car Sales, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Florida-based Avalon Global Group, Inc. a privately held company headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida.
