American Recovery Association’s Program Trains and Certifies Lenders, Members and Member’s Employees

DALLAS – American Recovery Association, Inc. (ARA), the world’s largest association of recovery and remarketing professionals, today announced its new Collateral Recovery and Remarketing Accreditation Program launching on January 25, 2011 for lenders, ARA members and their employees.

Focused on innovation, education and its Best In Class approach, ARA developed the accreditation program to provide its members with the opportunity to become a Certified Asset Recovery Specialist (CARS) by attending a day of classes covering industry topics such as business ethics, data security, and skip tracing. The lenders curriculum includes the Collection Training Consultants program, taught by nationally recognized trainer, Steve Peterson. Instructors will present an intro to online collateral remarketing. Lenders and ARA members, along with their employees, will have simultaneous classes covering various subjects. The program will also include a networking luncheon for all participants.

“We are excited to bring this program to the industry,” said Les McCook, executive director of ARA. “ARA strives to produce the most professional, trained and certified recovery agents, and this program will be a rewarding experience for our members and partners.” Our projection is that we will be in at least 24 cities before our grand event in conjunction with our 47th Annual convention in Jersey City, NJ.

The accreditation program will launch January 25, 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Other secured dates include January 26 in Atlanta, Georgia; January 27 in Birmingham, Alabama; February 7 in Jacksonville, Florida; February 8 in Orlando, Florida; February 9 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, February 23 in San Diego, February 24 in Phoenix and March 4 in Dallas, Texas during the 2011 North American Repossessors Summit (www.reposummit.com).

“Being properly trained and certified is vital to a lender’s and recovery agent’s business’ bottom line,” said Steve Peterson, founder of Collection Training Consultants. “ARA’s Accreditation Program is extensive and participants will gain a plethora of industry knowledge.”
