For the first time, representatives of companies honored in the annual Dealers’ Choice Awards were invited to accept their awards in person at Industry Summit. On Sept. 9, 2014, honorees gathered in the Champagne Ballroom at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. The presentation was part of a general session that also included the presentation of the annual F&Idol contest and the F&I Pacesetter and Dealer of the Year awards.

The awards were voted on by dealers and dealership personnel who completed a lengthy online survey in May. Voters entered each company name manually and scored their providers on the product or service they offer, customer support and service, value, and whether they would recommend the company to a colleague.

“We knew that our readers, and certainly our award winners, believe strongly in the Dealers’ Choice Awards,” says David Gesualdo, publisher of Auto Dealer Monthly. “It wasn’t until I saw the group together onstage that I realized what a unique program it is. The winners represent the very best our industry has to offer.”

Most categories included Diamond, Platinum and Gold Awards. Some categories included only two; two categories failed to produce a nominee that scored above the mean average and thus included no winners. The awards were announced in the August 2014 edition of ADM. This year marked the 10th anniversary of the program, which will continue with additional categories in 2015.

The group that attended the Dealers’ Choice Awards presentation included several of the industry’s leading executives, trainers and dealer operations experts. The awards were voted on in May and the results announced in the August 2014 issue of Auto Dealer Monthly.
