to Win Pittsburgh Business Ethics Award
The PBEA is presented each year to companies that demonstrate a firm commitment to ethical business practices. Rob Cochran, president and CEO of #1 Cochran, said, “I can’t tell you what a great honor it is to receive an award for the ethical ways we do business. Historically, car dealerships haven’t always received high marks in this area. I’m extremely proud that our team members are changing this perception for the entire industry. We’re leading by example.”
Three separate PBEA awards were presented based on the company’s size and number of employees. Criteria for selecting the winners included everyday operations, management, philosophies, consistently high quality of products and services, commitment to community, and charitable involvement. #1 Cochran won in the medium-sized category for companies employing between 250 and 2,500 people.
The PBEA is the latest in a long list of awards garnered by #1 Cochran including TIME Magazine’s Quality Dealer of the Year; finalist in Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year; Fred E. Obley Award for Business Leadership and Excellence – along with annual “Distinguished Dealer” awards from the many manufacturers it represents.
