They also out-sold rivals Volkswagen by 3.4 million, which equates to just under 10,000 more sales every day and almost 400 more per hour.

In comparison to Mazda who landed tenth place, Toyota sold 7.4 million more cars last year. Which equates to 20.4 thousand more a day and 850 more an hour.

China produces 1.5k more cars an hour than any other country

China produced the most passenger cars in 2020, and by some way. Last year the country produced almost 20 million cars, nearly three times more than Japan, which was the second-highest producer in the world, making close to 7 million cars.
