North American new-vehicle output rose 15% year-over-year in October, according to Automotive News.
The publication’s Research and Data Center reports that the uptick represents the ninth straight month of production increases from a year earlier.
October’s output totaled 1.32 million light vehicles for a year-to-date sum of 12.4 million, up 13% year-over-year.
It did point out that October production was the smallest-volume output since July, though overall improvements signal an upward trend away from pandemic-era volatility that started in April 2020.
Automotive News foresees that full-year production will the strongest since 16.4 million in 2019.
