Apparently, only one living generation behind the wheel today prefers cars over pickups and SUVs.

According to vehicle registration statistics compiled by S&P Global Mobility and reported by Business Insisder, just generation Z slants away from the bigger classes. The favorite of the 18- to 24-year-old set is midsize sedan Toyota Camry.

Younger millennials, or those ages 25 to 34, favor the Toyota RAV4 compact crossover sports-utility vehicle.

Older millennials and younger members of generation X lean toward the Chevrolet Silverado pickup.

And the oldest in generation X, 45 to 54, like the full-size Chevrolet Silverado pickup the best.

The youngest baby boomers, ages 55 to 64, go with the light-duty Ford F series pickups. And the oldest boomers of up to age 74 lean toward the Toyota RAV4, like the youngest millennials.
