A week after CDK Global's dealer software systems went down following two cyberattacks, the company says it's made a limited dealer-management system restoration for a test group of dealerships as it works to incorporate other stores.
"We are also actively working to bring live additional applications—including our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Service solutions—and our Customer Care channels," CDK said in a statement.
The company said it has meanwhile established what it calls a "dealer resource center" to provide dealers with frequently used documents and forms for sales and service departments.
"We understand and share the urgency for our customers to get back to business as usual, and we will continue providing updates as more information is available," said company representative Lisa Finney.
The shutdown, the second of two on June 19, has affected thousands of dealers, many of whom have been making do with handwritten document processing as they wait for CDK to restore its software systems. One industry forecast of June new-vehicle sales said the outage has even curtailed deliveries for the month.
