ATLANTA — Autotrader editors named the 10 Best CPO Cars for 2019 and the 10 Best CPO Luxury Cars for 2019. The honors are based on price, factory warranty coverage, and standard and available features. CPO sales hit a record 2.7 million units in 2018, proving shoppers want the benefits of a new-car purchase without the price, according to Executive Editor Brian Moody.

“As more features are added to today’s vehicles, new-car prices continue to rise, with even ‘affordable’ models costing as much as $35,000 or $40,000,” Moody said. “Our list of ‘good as new’ vehicles can bring the car a consumer wants into the price range they want to pay. These CPO vehicles are thoroughly inspected, covered by warranties and offer the latest designs, making it difficult to even tell the difference between their new car counterparts.”

Unranked and listed in alphabetical order, Autotrader’s selections are:

10 Best CPO Cars for 2019:

  • 2015–’18 Chevrolet Tahoe

  • 2016–’18 Honda Civic

  • 2016–’18 Hyundai Sonata

  • 2013–’17 Jeep Wrangler

  • 2016–’18 Mazda6

  • 2014–’18 Nissan Rogue

  • 2015–’18 Ram 1500

  • 2015–’18 Subaru Outback

  • 2016–’18 Toyota Tacoma

  • 2014–’18 Toyota Tundra

10 Best Luxury CPO Cars for 2019:

  • 2014–’18 Acura MDX

  • 2015–’18 Cadillac Escalade

  • 2017–’18 Chrysler Pacifica

  • 2014–’18 Infiniti QX60

  • 2017–’18 Jaguar F-Pace

  • 2014–’18 Jaguar F-Type

  • 2014–’18 Kia Cadenza

  • 2015–’18 Lexus RC

  • 2015–’18 Porsche Macan

  • 2016–’18 Volvo XC90

Editors capped the budget for nonluxury and luxury vehicles at $40,000 and $65,000, respectively, with many of the models listed available for far less. All included vehicles also offer current design language and a desirable, manufacturer-backed CPO warranty for up to 100,000 miles, editors noted.
