REDWOOD CITY, Calif. — SHIFTMobility has become part of myCarfax, integrating Carfax vehicle information into its ShopLite mobile solution.

ShopLite is a mobile shop management solution assisting shop owners and technicians in handling everything from customer and supplier relationships to getting parts inventory and price lists. The app now includes Carfax QuickVIN, allowing independent repair centers to check-in customers and retrieve vehicle information by keying in the license plate number and state. ShopLite Premium users can now initiate the check-in process by snapping a photo of the license plate.

Carfax QuickVIN displays the vehicle identification number, vehicle engine information and year/make/model details within ShopLite. Vehicle processing time is reduced, helping users increase car count, avoid parts-ordering errors, and make better service and repair recommendations for their customers, officials said.

The Carfax enhancements within ShopLite are available to myCarfax Shops. SHIFTMobility joins over 33,000 software providers and service and repair locations that are myCarfax Shops. Enrollment in myCarfax is free.

“We are pleased to partner with Carfax to incorporate real-time integration for license plate information lookup," said Arvind Jain, SHIFTMobility president. "Using the industry's first license plate scan and decode feature through ShopLite Premium, shop owners will have sophisticated vehicle knowledge, quicker estimates and faster diagnoses of vehicle issues.”
